Online-Workshop for Doctoral Candidates on the Role(s) of Mentees in Career Mentoring with Miriam Moll

Addresses: All mentees of the Industrial Mentorship Programme – with or without a mentor.

What to expect?

This three-hour career mentoring workshop is intended to offer guidance and clarity on the mentoring process – with a special focus on helping mentees to develop a clear understanding of their role.

The workshop will e.g. cover the following topics:

• Self-management: Where do I stand and what is my goal?
• Self-perception: What role do I play as a mentee?
• Communication: How do I communicate with my mentor? What makes a good mentoring conversation?
• Career planning: How can I use mentoring effectively for my personal career development?
• Dealing with Problems: How do I find the perfect mentoring match? What should I do if my mentor is not a good fit for me?
• Conversations with other mentees: What motivates you? What connects you to the other mentees?

Interactive part

The workshop also serves as an opportunity for all mentees to get to know each other and to actively engage in discussions. For that reason, it’s important that everyone keeps their camera on during the online event.

This workshop supports you in actively shaping your path as a mentee. It empowers you to use mentoring time with purpose and confidence.

Additionally, you will receive your first certificate for participating in our Industrial Mentorship Programme.
