Topic: II.2.1 What does a research offer?

On the following two screenshots you can see examples of abstracts.

The first one shows a part of a hit list in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. For the first entry, the beginning of the abstract was unfolded. Via "view more" the whole summary could be displayed.

The second screenshot was taken from the SpringerLink database interface. The database provides the abstracts in the detail display of a hit. Below the abstract you can see the subject headings assigned to the document ("keywords"). They also serve the purpose of indexing the content of the document, i.e. they provide information on what it is about.
