In addition to the language courses offered in the individual degree programs, Trier University of Applied Sciences also offers interdisciplinary courses that are open to students from all departments and/or employees. The courses offered vary from semester to semester; courses marked with an * usually take place every semester. Registration is done via stud.IP; there you will also find rooms and times. If there are still free places, employees can also take part in the courses.
For international applicants: There are currently various offers for (language) study - and career preparation for international students and refugees at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld. In addition, Trier University cooperates with the language school TASI in Trier, where you can acquire a C1 certificate for studying.
The study preparation program is carried out within the framework of the "Integra" program of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and consists of two main parts:
Fit Fürs Studium (Fit For Studies)and Studienbrücke(Study Bridge).
The study preparation program "Fit fürs Studium" includes a B1-, B2-course as well as C1-course and is only for recognized refugees who have a corresponding university entrance qualification!
The study preparation program "Studienbrücke" is open to all international prospective students with a refugee and migration background who have completed at least a B2 course and have a corresponding university entrance qualification.
As part of the study preparation program, future students have the opportunity to acquire the necessary German language skills and thus prepare for university studies in Germany. The program consists of different modules that can be individually combined:
Trier University of Applied Sciences (and thus also the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld) is funded by the DAAD within the framework of the "Welcome" and "Integra" programs. The programs are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. More information HERE.
