The "Global Conference on Everyday Life, Gender and Sexuality: Expanding Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science Perspectives (ELGS-OTOS)" is an international event for professionals and stakeholders interested in the intersections between daily life, occupations, gender and sexuality.
The two-day online conference includes two keynote lectures, six presentations, and two panel discussions. The speakers will offer various perspectives on gender and sexuality from the fields of occupational therapy, occupational science and other health and social care professions. The conference will encompass contributions from research, teaching, and practice by colleagues from around the world.
ELGS-OTOS is a contribution to "World Occupational Therapy Day", which occupational therapists celebrate every year on 27th October. This year’s World Occupational Therapy Day is themed: "Occupational Therapy for All". The conference aligns with this theme, and therefore celebrates the diversity of sexuality and gender as well as advocating for the social and occupational rights of all people.
The online conference is hosted by Trier University of Applied Sciences and the University of Batangas in the Philippines.
