Dr. Hagai Katz collaborated with Prof. Dr. Milena Valeva on a research and academic publication for an international conference in the field of social movements and business ethics.
The research focuses on the role of social movements in preventing or promoting social change towards sustainability, using comparative historical methods. The work consisted of a literature review and information collection in preparation for the identification of cases to be analyzed in this research project.
Together with Prof. Dr. Milena Valeva, Dr. Katz conducted two strategic development meetings with the UNESCO Chair for Cultural Policy at the University of Hildesheim and the research on non-profit institutions at the Maecenata Foundation in Berlin. Several optional collaborative projects were discussed, including an application for EU funding for a study on social movements and sustainable entrepreneurship in cultural policy, online symposia, guest lectures by leaders of the participating institutions, and an intra- and inter-institutional workshop for students, faculty and community stakeholders on teaching entrepreneurship towards sustainable development goals.
Further collaboration is planned in the Bachelor‘s degree program in NGO Management, including an international student exchange in hybrid format. Dr. Hagai Katz gave several lectures in various modules of the Bachelor‘s degree course in NGO Management and the Master‘s degree course in Environmental Economics & Business Management.
