Inspired by the pre-dominantly one-dimensional perception of women in the 70’s and today, the collection „Girls will be Girls“ quintessentially stands for female empowerment and feminism. Inspired by apron-silhouettes and children’s drawings as symbols for the perception of women as mothers and baby machines exclusively, without having a choice or autonomy, those images with the connotation of oppression were turned into images and silhouettes of empowerment and self-determination.
