Jan-Peer Rudolph holds a professorship for Business Information Systems at the Business School at Trier University of Applied Sciences. In this role, he is particularly responsible for software engineering, distributed systems, cloud-based systems, web applications, business information systems and enterprise applications as well as application integration. He also deals with the introduction of agile methods in organisations and the optimisation of software development processes.
Previously, Mr Rudolph worked for many years in industry, including DZ Privatbank, SAP and Fraunhofer. He worked both as a software developer and in management positions (group leader, technical project manager, development manager). He gained professional experience in the software/tech sector, the manufacturing industry and the financial sector. His work has always centred on the development of complex software systems.
Mr Rudolph studied IT Systems Engineering at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam and completed his doctorate at the Technical University of Hamburg in the field of cloud-based systems.
