YOUNG TALENTS - OLD MASTERS
Under this title, the Berliner Salon celebrated its tenth anniversary during Berlin Fashion Week on 3 February 2025 in Berlin. For 10 years, this format has been a platform for the promotion of up-and-coming German design and a showcase for part of the status quo of German fashion. In addition to works by many German fashion designers, works by alumni Adriane Lila Fecke and Master's student Luca Lomb will also be shown at the Gemäldegalerie am Kulturforum.
In addition to one of the hosts and co-curator Christiane Arp (Chairwoman of the German Fashion Council and former Editor-in-Chief of German Vogue), Klaus Biesenbach (Director of the Neue Nationalgalerie and former Director of the MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art, L.A.), trend scout and brand consultant Julian Daynov, actress Florence Kasumba and many current and former fashion design students from Trier, numerous representatives from culture, politics and society were among the invited guests at the opening.
Cranach, Titian, van Dyck - the Berlin Picture Gallery is not only home to one of the most important collections of Old Masters in the world, but is now also unfolding an extraordinarily opulent panorama of fashion with its outstanding works for a few weeks.
