More than 1000 students study at the Campus for Design and Art in a lively, interdisciplinary and intercultural exchange. The fields of Architecture, Intermedia Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design and Communication Design at the Trier campus and Gemstone and Jewellery at the Idar-Oberstein campus together form this unique creative campus.
The infrastructure includes not only classical workshops such as bookbindery, photo studio, wood and metal workshop, but also 3D printing laboratories, a portal milling machine and modern computer pools. The interdisciplinary courses on offer are closely linked to one another. Creative border crossings are cultivated so that students can research and work in an open and inspiring study environment.
The synergies of architecture, design and media on the Campus for Design create innovative and trend-setting projects that are regularly awarded national and international prizes.
With a large number of recurring events, fashion shows and exhibitions, the Campus for Design has established itself as a creative driving force in the urban cultural landscape.
