Der leere Raum/The Empty Space - A stage performance created in a collaboration between Théâtre National du Luxembourg, Conservatoire la Ville de Luxembourg and Campus Gestaltung of Trier University of Applied Sciences.

Founded in 2023 by actress Nora Koenig, composer and jazz vibraphonist Pascal Schumacher and pianist, composer and producer Francesco Tristano, the ‘Perspectives’ platform at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg combines innovative approaches in acting and playful research in music. This season saw a collaboration with Prof Valerie Schmidt's experimental seminar on ‘Transmedia Photographic Narration and Image Design’ at the Campus Gestaltung.

Together with students from both seminars, they developed a stage performance that premiered on 29 January and will also be shown at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg/Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg on 19 June 2025.

The works on the theme of ‘empty space’ include sound compositions, self-written texts and dialogues, performative presentations, photographic stagings, image installations, video works, projections of interactive image worlds on stage and off stage as an exhibition, as well as a work that makes it possible to experience the entire collaboration on empty space as a virtual reality.
