"In my thesis, I am researching how the visual culture communicates about the notion of transcendence of objects, and especially in contemporary jewelry. I am  investigating how this communication evolved  from a material to a digital form.

I start by looking at how people used stones in the past, viewing them as gathering places to connect with the divine. I also observe how stones have been used as personal objects to connect with the divine on an individual level.

I then look at how technology changing affects our perception about things (jewelry/objects). I talk about how special and important a personalized jewelry is because it allows the person wearing it to feel connected to something bigger than just themselves. I also talk about the act of making itself as a way of transcendence.

I explored digital jewelry and how it plays a role in how we present ourselves into our modern society.  I’m studying cases where jewelry and objects are used in visual culture and how, when put in a fiction,  they help us feel more connected to the jewelry and objects.

In the end; I’m saying that, today, latest medias are used by creatives who make objects to put them in a bigger story, to influence our perception and makes our relationship with it richer. At the end, I’m questioning about the existence of a parallel between how technology and sacred are perceived as both considered as source of power and control over the world.
Through this research, I aim to propose that the conventional boundaries between spirituality and technology are more intricate we think."
