"Development processes are a core theme of human existence. They contain and unite many seemingly contradictory features. Development in general is usually associated with progress in the sense of "something has to happen, be visible and measurable".
The fact that there are alternatives to this maxim, that show something else, is one of the driving forces behind my work.
What is necessary for development processes and what occurs in the course of "letting it happen"? Some moments are neither repeatable nor constructible.
Jewellery plays a role within human processes. Its functional uniqueness opens up wide spaces for us to devote ourselves to the expression of our human nature - interactive or self-referential, hidden or obvious.
I build resonating bodies for human nature. I see myself as an initiator for this process. In doing so, I intend to facilitate a growing relationship between a piece of jewellery and the wearer. Changes that may slowly occur during the wearing-process bring a wealth of experience, leading to a condensation of proximity between the piece of jewellery and the wearer."
