Intensifying the co-operation with the German-Jordanian University (GJU)

On Dec. 12th, 2024 Prof. Dr. Tobias Richter visited GJU in Jordan in order to discuss various options with regard to intensifying the excellent partnership between both universities. 

During the meeting with Prof. Dr. Loay Baniismail and Prof. Dr. Fathi Yosef different aspects were discussed in terms of how to further increase the number of students of GJU going to Trier as well as increasing the number of exchange students from Trier going to Amman in the future.

Moreover, it was agreed that it would be beneficial to both universities if we were able to organise the potential exchange of professors to provide guest lectures as well as potentially entire modules/courses at the respective universities: in light of this discussion Prof. Dr. Loay Baniismail and Prof. Dr. Fathi Yosef were so kind to invite Prof. Dr. Richter to lecture a module on management in the summer of 2025.

Finally, discussions were held to which extent it is feasible to look into joint research projects and publications long-term in order to extent and modernise the existing brilliant cooperation and lift it to the next level in terms of the internationalisation strategies of both institutions.
