On April 30, 2024, two student groups from the International Business and Business Information Systems programs embarked on an enlightening trip to Düsseldorf. The visit began with a warm welcome from Mr. Zhang, the founder of N&H Technology. N&H Technology is a full-service supplier specializing in electromechanical assemblies and components, with a particular focus on customer-specific operating units. Mr. Zhang, originally from China and was part of the first group of government-sponsored students to come to Germany in 1979, generously shared insights into the company's operations, business model, and functional departments.
The journey continued with a visit to Nio House, a company positioned as a competitor to Tesla. The Nio representative introduced our students to their market focus and distinct business concepts, showcasing various car models. This visit also included a unique opportunity for students to experience a test drive around the city, offering a practical glimpse into Nio's innovative automotive solutions.
The trip concluded with a delightful cultural experience—a Chinese Hotpot dinner. This was not only a chance to enjoy traditional Chinese cuisine but also an excellent opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of the cultural differences and business practices between Europe and China.
