Fascinating gemstone: cut - grind - polish 

The workshop will give you an introduction to lapidary technique. In the foreground is a practical understanding of various processing techniques including cutting and faceting of precious stones. You will also learn how to saw, drill and engrave stone. We will start with a general introduction to the theory of the craft and gemology. We will visit local stone dealers where everyone can buy their own raw stones, which we will use for our practical work. Open conversations within the group will help us to share our experiences and to push ideas forward. The aim of the course is to get a general insight of this special technique and to combine these new skills with your own designs.

  • some basic stones (if you need more as supplied or like to work with more precious material you will be able to buy it during the workshop).
