The workshop fee covers the cost of:

• participation in a course with instruction and supervision by a qualified artist, 
• use of studio and equipment during class hours (9:00-12:30 and 13:30-17:00)
• attendance at various in-house events organised by the International Summer Academy.

The fee does not cover the cost of:

• materials other than mentioned at each course,
• excursions,
• travel and accommodation,
• daily lunch (appr. 12€/day).

Courses may be booked only for their full duration.

In case of cancellation by applicant: 

• after issueing the invoice, an administrative fee of 50 € will be retained/charged,
• between 8 weeks and 4 weeks before the beginning of the workshop, 25 % of the workshop fee will be retained,
• within 4 weeks before the beginning of the workshop, 50 % of the workshop fee will be retained.
• When the Summer Academy has begun, no refund will take place. 

Cancellation by ISA  can take place:

• if a course is not booked with the minimal number of participants,
• if a course cannot be offered because of force majeure.
• in cases of force majeure for the applicant (illness, accident, death in family), cancellation should be notified immediately, with written proof of the reasons for cancellation. 

A refund of the participant fee will be made for such canncellations by ISA as mentioned above. Other reasons (dissatisfaction, programme changes) do not entitle to any refund.

Applicants must be aware that allergenic substances, such as oil-paints may be used in classes. Every attendant must be responsible for their own health needs. Entrance to the International Summer Academy premises is restricted to participants, teachers and members of ISA staff. Other visitors have access to classes only after checking in at the office and must be accompanied by ISA staff. Exceptions to having visitors are during the open-house presentations.

ISA is not liable for accidents, theft or any kind of damage which take place during the course. The participant is advised to provide personal health, travel and liability insurance.

ISA is not responsible for traveling or accommodation costs paid by the applicant. Please take care of your own travel insurance.

At the International Summer Academy and the Trier University of Applied Sciences, Campus Idar-Oberstein, we respect and protect the personal dignity of every individual and cultivate a culture of fairness, mutual respect and foster a friendly and professional behaviour. Any form of (psychological, verbal or physical) harassment, hate-speech or discrimination, e.g. based on nationality, origin, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation or similar, as well as extreme political positions are not tolerated. 
Violation of this Code of Conduct will result in immediate exclusion from the ISA (without any claim for reimbursement from the organisers) and may result in civil and, if applicable, criminal consequences.

Please note that submitting a registration form does not automatically entitle you to participate in our event. The ISA reserves the right to reject any registration. In such case you will be informed as soon as possible.

What happens after sending your registration? *

• You will receive an automatic email with the data you've provided,
• within a week after that, you will receive an invoice and details for payment,
• Your payment is due within 2 weeks after the date of the invoice,
  • Please make sure we receive the amount mentioned on the invoice: all costs for your money transfer must be borne by you,
  • In case of delayed payment, your place will go to the next in line, 
• After payment of the invoice your reservation will be confirmed by email.
