German based Taiwanese artist, Lin I-Chun (M.F.A. stud.), completed her Bachelor in Industrial design at Hua-Fan University in Taiwan, 2013. She worked in Kinjo studio for Jewellery Design after graduation, and has experience with wood and other materials for tableware and furniture design. She has invented a research approach to TEXT as a subject and discovered a phenomenon on the street from human habits and daily life. In order to explore her topic, she decided to study for her Master of Fine Arts in Gemstone and Jewellery at University of Applied Sciences Trier, Campus Idar-Oberstein since 2017.
The artist says about her pieces: "There is always a lot to explain about the text, and its meaning is also repeated to be elaborate by me on any occasion. I was like the experimenter in the text project, searching for the records of me and us. The language of these cities and the objects to which they refer, the relationship being meaningful or its purpose capable of being understood."
