Master Interdisciplinary Engineering Checklist

Register the modules in Stud.IP
  • Use module-choice-tool to determine eligible modules.
  • Check the “Interdisciplinary Engineering – Hochschule Trier“ website and the timetable files 
  • Log in StuIP website and search for the selected modules and register. 
  • Ensure the selected module is intended for the interdisciplinary Master's degree
Registering for Interdisciplinary Project (2nd and 3rd Semester)
  • Find a professor to supervise the interdisciplinary project.
  • The supervising professor registers the project QIS.
Starting Master’s Thesis with Remaining Courses
  •  Complete at least 50 ECTS of master modules.
  • Complete all 30 ECTS of bridge modules.
  • Find a professor to supervise the Master’s thesis.
  • The supervising professor registers the thesis in QIS when it is finished.
Registering for Semester Of/ Study Break/ Job/Internship
  • Fill in the form „Antrag auf Beurlaubung“ (Leave of absence) and submit to Student service.
  • Pay the semester fee during the absence (if not, you will be deregstered).
Remote Work Certificate for Distant Student Job
  •  Most modules are designed for in-person lectures and remote work certificates are not provided.
  • Ask the employer if the job can be offered during the semester break.
Registeration of Exam
  • Check the “Studienverlaufspläne im Fachbereich Technik – Hochschule Trier“.
  • Log in in QIS - Examination Management Online.   
  • Search for the modules in Master or Bridging Modules.
  • Apply for the exam of the modules.
In case you are sick on the exam day and cannot attend the exam
  • You need to visit your Hausarzt (family doctor) within 3 days to obtain a "Krankschreibung" (sick-leave certificate).
  • You must fill out and submit the "Beiblatt zur Einreichung von Attesten" (supplementary form) to the Studienservice.
