Electrical Engineering (B.Eng.)

Electrical engineering has long since become an integral part of our world. It makes it possible to convert energy and distribute it over long distances or to process and transmit information and messages. Electric devices and systems therefore affect nearly every aspect of our modern industrial society.

Studying electrical engineering offers the best prerequisites for an interesting and varied professional future. Electrical Engineers work in a wide range of specialised areas, from power generation and transmission to electronics such as radio frequency systems, telecommunication or signal processing.

The programme initially deals with the engineering fundamentals of electrical engineering, mathematics, physics and computer science. Students then have the choice between the two specialisations "Automation and Energy" or "Information Technology and Electronics". The entire programme is characterised by the close intermeshing of teaching and applied research. The direct participation of the students in actual research and industrial projects insures practice-oriented training combined with a sound theoretical background.

The programme is offered in German only. For further information please click here.
