From 27 June to 1 July, 6 Bachelor students and two students in the Master Gemstones and Jewellery were able to gain insights into traditional Czech glass and jewellery art.

On the first day, a visit to the glass museum and a glassblowing workshop were on the programme.

The second day was dedicated to the topic of garnets. In the morning, the students were able to collect garnets themselves. Processed garnets and other minerals could be seen in the Garnet Museum and the Gemstone Museum.

On Wednesday, the students were allowed to try their hand at glass processing at a workshop in the Liberec University of Applied Sciences. In the afternoon, they visited the studio of jewellery artists Ludmila Sikolova and Karel Novak.

On Thursday, there was a presentation of the bachelor's theses at the Liberec University of Applied Sciences and a costume jewellery workshop.

Finally, on Friday, they visited a glass producer and two glass bead companies.
