Seven students and graduates from Idar-Oberstein nominated for the "Legnica International Jewellery Competition 2024"

The international jewelry competition on the theme of "Empathy" took place as part of the Legnica Silver Festival for the 32nd time this year.

The jury, consisting of Prof. Sławomir Fijałkowski, Mari Ishikawa, Charon Kransen, Michalina Owczarek-Siwak and Doreen Timmers, nominated 44 artists from 21 countries. A total of 295 artists from 45 countries applied. Among the nominees are seven students and graduates from Idar-Oberstein:

Sharareh Aghaei (Iran/Germany), Nikita Kavryzhkin (Russia/Germany), Biljana Klekachkoska (Macedonia/Germany), Niyoushasadat Moosavi (Iran/Germany), Stephie Morawetz (Austria), Julia Obermaier (Germany) and Helena Renner (Germany)

The winners of the competition will be announced on May 11 at the Silver Festival Award Gala in Legnica. All nominated pieces will be exhibited at the Gallery of Art in Legnica from April 24 to July 21. Numerous exhibitions will open in Legnica on May 10 and 11 as part of the Silver Festival.
