Gina Nadine Müller is awarded the Justus Brinckmann Förderpreis 2021 which comes with 2,500 euros in prize money.
With this award, the Justus Brinckmann Gesellschaft promotes highly talented young artists from the field of arts, crafts and design. Outstanding forward-looking achievements, conceptually designed works that go beyond the limits of simple functionality are to be highlighted. The award is intended to encourage the winner to continue on his or her chosen path.
From the jury's statement: "Stones are Gina Nadine Müller's source material, which she rethinks in an exciting and touching way, often in bodily forms - intimate, vulnerable and subtle. Under her hands, hard stone becomes soft skin."
